Tuesday Clix at Zombie Planet
George, please post these at the store. Mark, please send this to your Thursday group.
Basics - Games start at 6:30 unless otherwise noted. On Tuesdays, we observe the following House Rules - 1) No characters may be "In Contact With Oracle" who are not from the DC Universe. 2) You may only use a Theme Team cancel if you have at least 2 BFCs with you to play and you are playing them.
For major events, such as pre-releases and resource dial events (Infinity Gauntlet, Utility Belt, etc.), please remember that if we have 10 or more players we may go 4 rounds and if we have 12 or more, we will go four rounds. PLEASE PLAN TO STAY UNTIL 11:00 (or 1:30 a.m. for games which commence after 8:00 p.m.).
For more on "additional team abilities" (atas), "Modern Age", "Golden Age" and other terms, please see the Zombie Planet Message Boards.
September Events
October 2, 2012 (Frob): "Worst Team Ever." Construct a 300 pt. Golden Age team. Each game, you play with your opponent's constructed team. No entry. (t).
October 9, 2012 (Tony): "High Winds in the Dojo." Construct a 300 pt. Modern Age team. At least one model on your team must be one hundred points or more and have a speed symbol other than the "boot" symbol. All models are all considered to have the 'boot' symbol instead of their normal speed symbol. Characters may not use the flight or carry abilities. Street fighter models get +1 to combat values. No entry. (t).
October 16, 2012 (Jevon): "Themed Throwdown." Construct a 600 pt. named themed team. No figure over 250 points. All figures on your team must be DC only, Marvel only or otherwise come from the same universe. All figures allowed. No feats or battlefield conditions. ATAs encouraged. No entry. (n).
October 23, 2012 (Tony): "No plan . . . ." Construct a 300pt Modern Age team. Each match will get 1 randomly assigned battlefield condition which may not be cancelled. No entry. (t).
October 30, 2012 (Frob): "Midnight Tickle Fight. (Or, better hope Matt does not come)" Construct a 400 pt. Modern Age team. No figure over 100 points. All of your figures are 'blind' and their range becomes range 0 and is locked. All figures possess the following trait in addition to their printed abilities: This figure may use flurry, but characters using this flurry by this ability take 1 unavoidable damage after each attack resolves. In addition, when a character makes an attack roll, rolling double 4s, 5s, or 6s is treated as a Critical Hit. However, rolling double 1s, 2s or 3s is a Critical Miss. Doubles may not be re-rolled by any game effect. No entry. (t).
ANNOUNCEMENTS!
Thanks to all who participated in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. We will put a team together again for next year. Please look for announcements commencing in November. I NEED A CO-CAPTAIN TO ASSIST ME IN THE 2013 RELAY FOR LIFE. If interested, please let me know.
Preview of November
November 6, 2012: Marvel out. This will be a Scenario. Construct a 100 point (single figure), 200 point (at least three figures) and 300 point (at least four figures) Marvel only team with no figure greater than 100 points on any team. Your 100 point figure must appear on each team. No entry. (Special victory).
November 13, 2012: Sealed. Buy 2 five-figure boosters of Batman. Approximately $25.90 with tax. If it does not arrive in time, bring a three hundred point Gotham City or Gotham Underworld themed team. Your booster buy in is your entry. Otherwise, no entry.
November 20, 2012: Sealed. We will use the suggested format with one change. You may bring up to 100 points of figures with the Gotham City or Gotham Underworld keywords to add to your force, making a 400 point team. To be clear, that is up to 300 points from boosters and up to 100 from your reverse guest star. Please be prepared to stay until midnight because if we have more 10 or more players, we will play 4 rounds. In short, if we have two players with a 3-0 record at the end of the third round, there will be a fourth round. Please remember to check your opponent's build before starting the game. Standard scoring.
