Tuesday Clix at Zombie Planet
George, please post these at the store. Mark, please send this to your Thursday group.
PLEASE NOTE: I HAVE DEVISED A TEST WHICH A PLAYER MUST PASS (AT THE MOMENT 7 CORRECT OUT OF 10) BEFORE BEING PERMITTED TO PLAY IN COMPETITIVE EVENTS ON TUESDAYS. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO EXEMPT SOME PLAYERS FROM HAVING TO TAKE THE TEST. THE TESTS WILL START THE FIRST OR SECOND WEEK OF JANUARY. COME EARLY. YOU MAY TAKE IT ONCE PER WEEK UNTIL YOU PASS.
Basics - Games start at 6:30 unless otherwise noted. On Tuesdays, we observe the following House Rules - 1) No characters may be "In Contact With Oracle" who are not from the DC Universe. 2) You may only use a Theme Team cancel if you have at least 2 BFCs with you to play and you are playing them. 3) You are required to have a current PAC with you.
For major events, such as pre-releases and resource dial events (Infinity Gauntlet, Utility Belt, etc.), please remember that if we have 10 or more players we may go 4 rounds and if we have 12 or more, we will go four rounds. PLEASE PLAN TO STAY UNTIL 12:00 (or 1:30 a.m. for games which commence after 8:00 p.m.).
No Man's Land Info. In addition to having the correct number of "points," to qualify for the Batcave, you must attend 3 No Mans Land events on a Tuesday night and six non-No Mans Land events on a Tuesday night between November and April. You must pick a gang on the first night that you attend a No Mans Land event and you must stay with that gang for the remaining months of the event. If you did not attend the first event, a gang will be assigned to you if you come to a later event.
For more on "additional team abilities" (atas), "Modern Age", "Golden Age" and other terms, please see the Zombie Planet Message Boards.
April Events
This month you are to choose a figure between 50 and 150 points. You must use that figure in every team build this month. Be careful in choosing your figure because if it is a "Golden Age" figure, the figure would not be useable in a "Modern Event." If there is an event for which your figure is not eligible, you must deduct the cost of the figure from your build (ie. if the figure is 100 points and not eligible in a 400 point build, you would only be permitted a 300 point build.
April 2, 2013: "April Fools.": Bring one figure up to 50 points that is either a "civilian", ie,, JJJ, a human generic, or an AE. You do not have to include your chosen figure for the month, but if you do, you will receive a bonus. Bring all of the Zuvembies and Werewolves you own. No fee. Cooperative Scenario.
April 9, 2013: "Battle Between The Forces of Good and Evil (Inspired by Alberico)": Build two 600 point Golden Age teams from the same Heroclix universe, ie. "The Lord of the Rings", "The Hobbit", Marvel, DC, Halo, etc.. You may only have three battle field conditions, which are shared by the teams. Instead of a 10% feat limit, there is a 10% limit on all non-character tactical elements (feats, objects, relics, etc.) One team must be either a force for "good" (ie. a heroic super-hero team, the fellowship, the Halo human good guys). The other team must be a forces of "evil" (ie., "bad guys") from the same universe as the good team. The good team and evil team must be teams that oppose each other, ie, Avengers and Masters of Evil, Asgardians v Frost Giants, At the beginning of each round, opposing players will role two D6. The player who rolls highest will choose which player will fight for good and which will fight for evil. Players will use their own team of good or evil, so there will be some cross-universe fights. Characters fighting on the side of good will receive a +1 to modifier their defense value, and those fighting on the side of evil will receive a +1 modifier to their damage value. At the end of the tournament the collective victories shall be counted, and it shall be determined whether good or evil has triumphed. No entry. (f)
April 16, 2013: "No Man's Land Month 5". Construct a 500 point Golden Age team. Your team must have a figure to represent your gang and must include your on-going series figure. $2.00 entry. (c).
April 23, 2013: "BFFs". Construct a 400 point Modern Age team. For this event, Lord of the Rings and Hobbit figures are Modern Age. The team must include your on-going series figure (if possible). At the beginning of the evening, you may designate one figure on your team which shares a team ability with the on-going series figure as the figure's BFF. While they are adjacent to each other, the on-going series figure and the BFF may share a combat value for an action (whether moving, attacking or defending). In addition, they may use support once per turn as a free action. No entry. (f). You may purchase up to five boosters of Iron Man 3 figures and open 1 each round, adding the figure to your team as a guest star.
April 30, 2013: "Final confrontation". Construct a 600 point Golden Age team. Your team must include your on-going series figure and a major enemy of that figure. Note, I did not say "arch-enemy." If your on-going series figure and the arch-enemy are adjacent, they receive -1 to all combat values and may use shape change, unless attacking each other. If they are attacking each other, all combat values are modified by +1 and they may use the sharpshooter ability. No entry. (c).
