Tuesday Clix at Zombie Planet
George, please post these at the store. Mark, please send this to your Thursday group.
PLEASE NOTE: I HAVE DEVISED A TEST WHICH A PLAYER MUST PASS (AT THE MOMENT 7 CORRECT OUT OF 10) BEFORE BEING PERMITTED TO PLAY IN COMPETITIVE EVENTS ON TUESDAYS. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO EXEMPT SOME PLAYERS FROM HAVING TO TAKE THE TEST. THE TESTS WILL START THE FIRST OR SECOND WEEK OF JANUARY. COME EARLY. YOU MAY TAKE IT ONCE PER WEEK UNTIL YOU PASS.
Basics - Games start at 6:30 unless otherwise noted. On Tuesdays, we observe the following House Rules - 1) No characters may be "In Contact With Oracle" who are not from the DC Universe. 2) You may only use a Theme Team cancel if you have at least 2 BFCs with you to play and you are playing them.
For major events, such as pre-releases and resource dial events (Infinity Gauntlet, Utility Belt, etc.), please remember that if we have 10 or more players we may go 4 rounds and if we have 12 or more, we will go four rounds. PLEASE PLAN TO STAY UNTIL 12:00 (or 1:30 a.m. for games which commence after 8:00 p.m.).
No Man's Land Info. In addition to having the correct number of "points," to qualify for the Batcave, you must attend 3 No Mans Land events on a Tuesday night and six non-No Mans Land events on a Tuesday night between November and April. You must pick a gang on the first night that you attend a No Mans Land event and you must stay with that gang for the remaining months of the event. If you did not attend the first event, a gang will be assigned to you if you come to a later event.
For more on "additional team abilities" (atas), "Modern Age", "Golden Age" and other terms, please see the Zombie Planet Message Boards.
February Events
February 5, 2013: "Amazing Spider-man pre-release". "If you believe they'll get a set out in time, set out in time. . . ." (To the tune of "Man on the Moon" by R.E.M.). If the set is on time, we will have Amazing Spider-man boosters! We will play 300 point sealed games. Buy two sealed, five figure boosters. If we have the sealed tournament, the boosters are your entry.(c)
Otherwise, we will have a scenario "Colossal threat." Construct a 400 point Marvel only team. No feats, battlefield conditions, resources or power cosmic figures. No entry if no Amazing Spider-man. (f)
February 12, 2013: "Lovers Lane." This will be our Month 3 no-Man's Land event. Construct a 600 point Golden Age team. You must build your team in pairs and each pair must consist of two figures that were a "couple" in the comic books (or, if appropriate, movies - I will allow animated series characters, as well). Highlander. A duo counts as two figures. In addition, both figures in a pair must be from the correct universe, unless that is not possible, in which case, at least one figure must be from the appropriate universe (ie., if you choose Northstar and Colossus, Colossus must be the Ultimate X-Man Colossus). If you are having trouble (Croc or Black Mask I am looking at you), contact me before the event. If one figure in a couple is from a movie set, the paired figure must be from the same movie set. Your team must be 50% points from No Man's Land, Batman or Streets of Gotham (including Gravity Feeds, CTD, or Fast Forces), or must be at least 50% points Black (African or Americans of African descent with brown skin - according to anthropologists, we are all from Africa, after all). Honor either the NML event or Black History Month (or both). $2.00 entry if you have spent $50 or more on Heroclix products from ZP since January 1, 2013, else, $5.00 entry. Be prepared to stay late. (c)
February 19, 2013: "Battle for Middle Earth Between The Forces of Good and Evil": Build two 500 point teams from The Lord of the Rings and/or The Hobbit. One team must be either a Fellowship or Thorin & Company named theme team to represent the forces of good. The other team must be a Forces of Sauron or Dol Guldur theme team to fight on the side of evil. At the beginning of each round, opposing players will role two D6. The player who rolls highest will choose which player will fight for good and which will fight for evil. Characters fighting on the side of good will receive a +1 to modifier their defense value, and those fighting on the side of evil will receive a +1 modifier to their damage value. At the end of the tournament the collective victories shall be counted, and it shall be determined whether good or evil has triumphed and gained control of Middle Earth. $2.00 entry if you have spent $50 or more on Heroclix products from ZP since January 1, 2013, else, $5.00 entry. (f)
February 26, 2013: "Honor the King (Andrew King)". Construct a 1200 point team. All figures are allowed. Feats are permitted, but no BFCs. Non-generic colossal Figures are subject to the Highlander rules, no matter how many points you field them at, or what set they are from (ie., you may only play one figure named Galactus, Master Mold or Ziran, etc. (yes, Jason, this includes Dr. Manhattan)). You may use a resource, but the points for the resource are subject to the 10% maximum for feats and the character with the resource may not have a feat assigned. $2.00 entry if you have spent $50 or more on Heroclix products from ZP since January 1, 2013, else, $5.00 entry. (c)

March 12, 2013: "Airdrop." Construct a 300 point team of exactly 6 figures. Each turn, you will select a figure to come onto the board. You will roll 4d6-2 to determine the row that your figure will come on and 3d6-2 to determine the column. You will place your figure in that square and may take any available actions. Figures with the "Soldier" Keyword or who have wings on their sculpt (not the wing speed symbol) may add or subtract one to each result. No figures may use the flight ability or phasing/teleport. If any figure on your force is assigned a resource, no figure on your force may be assigned a feat. $2.00 entry if you have spent $50 or more on Heroclix products from ZP since February 1, 2013, else, $5.00 entry.
